We do not automatically publish every submission. We review sources for accuracy, family privacy, public availability and usefulness to U.S. readers.
What We Accept
- Funeral-home obituary or memorial page URL.
- Local newspaper obituary or death notice URL.
- Cemetery, veterans cemetery or memorial service page.
- Official government link related to death certificates, court/probate, veterans benefits or public notices.
- Correction source for an existing article.
- Family-authorized text with permission to publish.
What We Do Not Accept
- Private medical records, death certificates, police reports, account records or Social Security numbers.
- Unverified social media rumors or cause-of-death speculation.
- Defamatory claims, family disputes, allegations or private accusations.
- Paid obituary placement without clear sponsorship/advertising disclosure.
- Photos or text copied from another publisher without permission.
Submission Format
Email info@recentobituaries.info with subject Obituary Source Suggestion. Include the person’s name, city/state, source URL, why it is relevant, and whether you are a family member, funeral-home representative, researcher or reader.
Family-sensitive publishing
If the family requested privacy or private services, tell us. We may choose not to publish or may publish only a limited source note with official-resource guidance.
