Making obituary information easier to read and navigate
Obituary and official-link pages are often used during stressful moments. We aim for readable layouts, clear links, mobile-friendly design, keyboard navigation and plain-language instructions.
Accessibility Goals
- Clear headings and short sections for screen reader and mobile navigation.
- High-contrast text and large tap targets for official links and correction buttons.
- Tables that scroll on small screens without breaking layout.
- Descriptive link text instead of vague “click here” links where possible.
- No autoplay media on sensitive pages unless a user starts it.
Standards We Consider
We aim to follow WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA principles where practical and use official accessibility guidance such as ADA.gov web accessibility resources.
